Helping Nonprofits Tell Better Stories

Pitch for Good is a fundraising and granting event for JSY Giving. JSY Giving (EIN #82-1761379) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was formed to honor the philanthropy of Jane Yin Bolander in the following areas:

  • Libraries & Literacy
  • Women & Minority Entrepreneurship
  • Anti-Human Trafficking
  • Services & Resources for Underserved Youth

Jane was passionate about helping nonprofits succeed. She would routinely get hired by them to throw fundraisers and do media training. This event is meant to honor her service by doing what she loved to do.

We will be accepting applications for the first phase of the program, which is the 7 PR Secrets All Nonprofits Should Know training on September 19th from 5:30 PM-8:30 PM in San Francisco.  The deadline for applications is September 1st, 2018.

The training will teach EDs how to craft an effective PR strategy, as well as a PR Narrative that drives your organization's outreach efforts.

At that training, the JSY Giving board will select 4 non-profits to present at Pitch for Good on Sept 29th. The four non-profits selected at the training event will each get a grant from JSY Giving.

Each selected non-profit will get 5 minutes to pitch what they do. The audience will then select the people's choice winner. The winner of the pitch will receive an additional grant from JSY Giving.
